My 1st encounter with them was at one of Andy hawk's events for KWOD at Powerhouse in Folsom. I was playing in BlackEyed Dempseys at the time. Nickel Slots bagn the show, and they couldn't have been better. Very polished set. After the gig, we made the comment, "They handed us our asses on a plate" even though we had a pretty good set ourselves. Now that 3 members of B.E.D. have set up shop as "Whsikey and Stitches," we hope to keep that connection going as roots/Americana goes great with powerhouse Irish. Cheers to the Nickel Slots!
