For 99 years, the Capay Valley Almond Festival has been one of the most valued traditions of Northern California. It’s the only five-town festival of California’s better half, bringing together Rumsey, Guinda, Brooks, Capay and Esparto for the timeless event along the community’s Blossom Trail on Feb. 23, 2014. This event was initially held in the fall to celebrate the conclusion of the Almond Harvest, but the beauty of almond blossoms in the spring insisted on a transition. This free event features a variety of taste bud pleasures, including almond-inspired foods, wine and olive oil tastings, tasty treats from local restaurants and vendors, and much more. Download a map of the Blossom Trail at Espartoregionalchamber.com and grab your friends and family to explore the wonders along Highway 16. Food, arts and crafts, live music, a car show and much, much more make this an event not to miss. But the most significant aspect of it all lies within the beauty of the almond blossoms enhancing the wonders of this incredible event. Come share this tradition with Capay Valley’s welcoming community, we’re sure it’ll become a tradition of your own.
