Local punk bands The Croissants and The Strange Party are celebrating joint release parties on Friday, Feb. 28 at Luigi’s. The Croissants are dropping a new 7-inch on the small DIY punk label Hella Mad Records and The Strange Party are releasing a new cassette tape on another small awesome local label, Pleasant Screams. Three other bands are playing the release show on the 28th (RAD, Crude Studs and The Moans), so basically it’s a gig you will not want to miss if you consider yourself a fan of quality DIY underground punk rock. DJ Dali Baba will also be spinning jams between bands. The show is all-ages, kicks off at 8 p.m. and is a measly $5. Check out Croissants.bandcamp.com and Thestrangeparty.bandcamp.com to get a taste of what you’re in for (hint: short, loud, fast, awesome songs that make you wanna fuckin’ party. Or at least that’s what they do to me).
