The Amazing Work of Grass Valley-Based Artist Akira Beard is in Two Local Galleries This Month!

Treat your eyes (and mind) to some truly mesmerizing artwork this month by Grass Valley-based artist Akira Beard, who currently has not one, but two exhibits up in different Sacramento galleries. Revelations from the Inner Landscape is a two-person show with new works from Beard and Heidi Zimmerman, up now at Beatnik Studios (723 S St.). It’s a colorful and meditative exhibit, and if you missed last week’s big opening, there will be another artist’s reception on Friday, July 6 from 6–9 p.m. Over at the recently opened Groundswell gallery (2508 J St.), Beard has a must-see solo show up titled LIFE Drawings, that will remain up through June 23.
