The last time Chicago hip-hop phenom Chance the Rapper played Sacramento in 2013, the show was super sold out. That was at the now defunct Assembly, a medium sized club with approximately a 500-600 person capacity. Come this September, he’ll get a much bigger stage: one at TBD Fest. That’s right, you heard it here first, SPIN’s 2013 rapper of the year and one of the most buzz worthy hip-hop artists as of late Chance the Rapper is joining the already stellar lineup for this year’s TBD Fest, happening September 18 – 20 in Sacramento.

TBD’s hip-hop lineup this year is extremely strong: Tyler the Creator, Mobb Deep, Death Grips, K.Flay, Ty Dolla $ign, Chuuwee, Rasar, Tel Cairo, and now, Chance. They join artists like Cut Copy, Tears for Fears, Pretty Lights, Purity Ring, Tycho, Dr Dog, A-Trak, Black Lips and so many others.

Download the brand spanking new jazzy/experimental album Surf for free from Chance the Rapper’s group Donnie Trumpet & the Social Experiment now on iTunes. The album features collaborations with Busta Rhymes, B.o.B., Janelle Monaé, Big Sean, Erykah Badu and others.

More huge TBD Fest announcements are coming today, so keep an eye out on their social media pages (@tbdfest). Hurry and snag your discounted early bird tickets until May 31 at Tbdfest.com.
